Deploy Go

Build one module into a native service.

Configure the executable

Select Go and the directory containing go.mod. Main package is . or a local package such as ./cmd/api, not a filename, wildcard or shell command. It must be package main. Commit consistent go.mod/go.sum. For Web, set the health path and read PORT/HOST (127.0.0.1), which Portal reserves. For Worker, run a continuous process without an HTTP probe or injected PORT/HOST; the same binary build contract applies.

Build contract

go mod download
go list -mod=readonly -f {{.Name}} ./cmd/api
go build -mod=readonly -trimpath -o hostmgr-app ./cmd/api

Go always builds. CGO_ENABLED=0, GOWORK=off and GOTOOLCHAIN=local limit the path to the installed compiler and one module. No automatic toolchain download or private-module credential forwarding. Use Compose for cgo, custom system libraries or workspace-wide builds.

Verify compiler readiness

Check Go in Setup and verify the actual host executable. The current installer defines a Go version but does not perform a Go download/install step; do not rely on older documentation promising provisioning. Prepare the compiler through host administration. The evaluation Docker image has no Go compiler. A candidate HTTP pass does not certify systemd/TLS activation.
